Lent is a time, during which we deepen our relationship with God, and grow closer to him, through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Lent is a great time for putting greater value on the goodness God gives to us. Lent is a time for grower deeper into God’s love. Why not do this by setting aside time each day to be in prayer, and be in God’s presence; even if you only set ten minutes each day. Another way is to come along to Morning or Evening Prayer through the week As a Benefice we are offering a number of ways this Lent that will help us all grow in God. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday 6th March this is a day when all Christians are encouraged to go to Holy Communion, which is where we see God’s love at work through the offering of Jesus our Saviour. There will be two Eucharists in the benefice that day, both with the imposition of ashes: 10am Said Eucharist at St Andrew’s Melton and 7pm  Eucharist (with incense) at St Mary’s Ufford.

You are encouraged to make every effort to come along to one of these services.

Starting the following Monday 11th March there will also be a chance to join a study group at Bob and Ros Champkins House 7 pm - 8.30 and Wednesday 13th March  10.45am - 12am at St Andrew’s Church
